MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
“Graduation 2008”
As spring fights off the winter chill, I think that we are all more than
ready for the change in the seasons. Spring brings with it much excitement
for ASID Wisconsin. Please check out the calendar for the many upcoming
events including the next state board
meeting and tour of the new cancer center at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee,
May 13; Design cafés in your area and ASID Student Portfolio and
Design Shows around the state.
With spring comes the end of the academic year, but also time for the graduation of many of our ASID Wisconsin student members and the realities of working life. I know how much time and effort, late nights and hours in the studio that you spend pulling together final projects, writing the last of your papers and putting the finishing touches on your portfolios and resumes. These are hours that will pay off in preparation for interviews and first days of your professional lives. For some of you, it will be returning to a new professional experience, now that you have changed career directions. I know that most of you have completed internships, invaluable opportunities to experience firsthand the life and work of the profession of which you are soon to join the ranks.
