Creative Business Interiors specializes in planning, interior construction, painting, business furnishings and related services. We are a team-oriented, successful, growing company looking for an individual with an interior design background or substantial experience calling on business owners and key decision makers.

We are seeking a highly motivated sales professional with excellent communication skills eager to develop new business opportunities for our Madison region.

Job Responsibilities:

Find and qualify new clients.
Determine the full scope of a project and identify all aspects of a project.
Define client needs and consult on possible solutions.
Make client presentations and compose written proposals.
Be an active member of the planning team. Provide necessary information, walk the project site, and review responsibilities with all team members to ensure the most appropriate solution to clients needs.
Manage project meetings and coordinate between design, construction, and furniture project management.
Obtain client approval and sign-off on all final drawings, revisions, and all finish samples prior to materials being ordered or project commencement.
Establish and / or prepare a timeline coordinating team members’ and client requirements.
Create a Punchlist for each project.
Oversee project completion to ensure client satisfaction.

Result Areas:

Develop new contacts.
Gather information on existing and potential clients.
Establish relationships with existing and potential clients.
Strategy development.
Provide exceptional customer service and ensure end-to-end customer satisfaction.
Create presentations to showcase to clients.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Business, Marketing, Communication or equivalent.
Strong business development skills/experience or design background.
A commitment to delivering the highest level of customer service.
Confident communication skills (written, oral, and presentation).
Ability to problem solve and address customer’s concerns.
Team leader (role of coordination, i.e. manage or lead).
Integrity and professionalism.
Exceptional time management skills and ability to multi-task.
Networking capable and enthusiast.
Adequate computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, CRM background not necessary but encouraged).

Description
This is a studio oriented position at the introductory and intermediate levels and will also require some service in the department and school. The successful candidate will teach Interior Design I: Introductory Interior Design Studio (2 sections) in the spring semester, and Interior Design II: Residential Design (2 sections) in the fall semester. The assignment also includes teaching Design Fundamentals II: Three-Dimensional Design during both spring and fall semesters.

A unique aspect of the way we teach interior design studios is the integration of subject area content and studio projects. Interior Design I and II both include lecture time. Instructors use this time to cover applicable subject area topics such as materials, finishes, lighting, acoustics, and other topics normally associated with subject area courses. For service, the successful candidate will be expected to serve on school committees, help maintain program accreditation, and help the program maintain connections with the local and regional design communities

Qualifications
A minimum of a Master’s degree in Interior Design or related discipline is required. Also required is previous interior design studio teaching experience at the college level. Professional (practice) experience and NCIDQ certification are highly desirable. Active involvement in relevant professional and educational organizations is also preferred.

Local Family-owned home center seeks Part Time Interior Designer. Must have a degree in design or comparable work experience. Activities will include estimating material requirements and costs, presenting design to clients for approval, advising clients on interior style, layout and color coordination. Prefer candidate with knowledge of cabinetry design. Customer service skills are required. We offer hourly compensation plus commission and benefits working in a retail environment with some weekend scheduling. Valid drivers license required.
